Camping at Patrick's Point!

First of all, I apologize for not blogging in awhile. Life is crazy! No excuses, I will be better. Enjoy our camping story! We decided to head over to the coast and take Parker camping this weekend. Uncle Chris and Annie went along with us. We warned them that it might not be the camping trip they expected with a crying baby. I had no idea what to expect and only heard everyone's horror stories about camping with babies. I have to let you all know that he did GREAT! It was so much fun. We arrived Friday night at around 9:30. Parker was already asleep so it made setting up camp easy.

Waking up on Saturday morning! Isn't he the cutest?

Needed to go for a morning stroll to let Chris and Annie sleep alittle longer. Our baby alarm wakes up at about 6 each morning.

Enjoying the stroller ride.

Back at camp trying to stay quiet. Check out the deluxe tent Budge bought as a surprise. To think at one time he thought tents were overrated!

Hanging out with Uncle Chris and Annie!

Look at this elk!

Family photo op with the elk.

We went up around this bend and saw this herd of elk. Then we were back on the road to head up to Fern Canyon.

All of us in Fern Canyon. This brought back memories as the last time I was there was the weekend Budge proposed to me.

Hanging out in Fern Canyon!

Having fun!

Budge got some good photos just hiking around!

Goofing around on the beach outside of Fern Canyon.

After Fern Canyon, we headed back to camp at Patrick's Point and hiked down to Agate Beach. I didn't find any agates but there were a ton of cool rocks.

Hanging out at Agate Beach.

Having a good time with Chris and in the next instant...

Parker got really upset. You have to love this picture!

After Agate Beach, we hiked the rim trail around Patrick's Point. This rock is called Wedding Rock.

At the end of the trail, there were tide pools. We saw lots of fun ocean creatures but were not wearing the right shoes.

Checking out the sea star!

The next morning. I could not resist this picture.

We packed up camp and headed down the coast to Moonstone Beach (Grandma Linda's old stomping grounds). Parker was so funny when his feet touched the sand. Look at those thunder thighs.

Playing in the sand. We headed home after the beach trip. Thanks Chris and Annie for all your help. Looking forward to the next trip.

Having Fun in Chico

This weekend Ronna and Erin, both friends from college, were in Chico. Budge and I headed down there on Saturday morning. Budge went to play golf with the guys while the girls stayed back with the kids. Isn't that how it always is?? Anyways, we had a great time walking around Bidwell Park and catching up. Ronna's friend, Marissa, had a baby 6 days after Parker. Putting them next to each other was pretty hilarious considering Parker is double her size. On Sunday, we just caught up on things around the house and went over to Grandma Linda's for a family dinner. Kim, we hope you have a great time in Italy. Parker's newest things are to chew on his hands, roll to the right almost on to his tummy, giggling which I am trying to get on video so everyone can hear it and sleeping through the night!!!!

Parker and Kaitlynn. They are the same age.

Loves lifting his feet. What a great expression on Kaitlynn's face!

Just laying on the blanket. Sorry Parker about the pink!

He is starting to grab things.

Having fun in his Bumbo chair!

Whiskeytown Lake

This weekend was another scorcher in Redding. Friday night my mom came to visit and hang out with Parker while Budge was at a Bachelor party in Tahoe. It was so nice to have her around. We went for a walk in the morning and just caught up with each other. Budge came back home on Saturday afternoon and we hung out as a family. Today Budge swam a mile in an open water swim race at Whiskeytown Lake. It was the first time Parker went to this lake. He enjoyed putting his feet in the water and had a great time at the BBQ following the swim. Hope everyone else enjoyed the weekend! Back to work tomorrow!

Testing the water!

He likes it!

I wish I put his swim suit on. Maybe next time!

Just wating for Dad to finish his race!

Check out this face. He is ready to go home!

Fishing on Labor Day!

I decided to let Budge enjoy his Labor Day by going fishing! It is what he loves to do and I am sure Parker is going to love it too once he can hold his own fly rod. Uncle Chris joined us for an afternoon of fishing. It was a beautiful spot and it is always nice to get out of the house. We had a great time even though we only had a couple bites from the fish. Better luck next time. Oh yeah, he weighs 17.8 pounds at 12 weeks.

Can't wait to go fishing!

Tying flies with Uncle Chris!

Ready to go!

Going to the river.

Labor Day Weekend in the Bay!

We took Parker on another road trip this weekend to visit my family. Friday night we stopped by Tim's house and saw Dave who was in from New York. He could not believe how big Parker was. He also mentioned a few times how cute he was and I have to agree with him on that. On Saturday we went over to Chelsea's for a house warming. She and Ryan have cute place and seem very happy. Their dog Red is adorable and was so well behaved around the baby. Other than that we just hung out and enjoyed the cooler weather. Parker must be going through a growth spurt as he seems to wake up every hour at night for the past couple of days. I sure hope tonight is different with work and everything. Hope everyone is enjoying the day off!

Parker and Grandpa enjoying the morning cool air.

Hanging out with my Aunt Chelsea! Thanks for inviting me to the party!

Trying to keep my head up.

Looking at my reflection!
