14 pounds and growing

I had to take Parker to the doctor yesterday to get a rash checked out on his face.  Of course, they had to weigh him and he now ways 14 pounds, 5 oz.  Granted he had his diaper and clothes on, but that cannot add that much weight.  The doctor says he looks healthy and is doing great.  The rash was nothing just being a paranoid mom.  Lately, he has been smiling when others smile and makes a ton of different noises.  He is very active each day moving his arms and legs all around.  He has become my little sidekick running errands with me and even working out.  We are staying around this weekend, even though we can hardly go outside because of the smoke.  The air is so unhealthy.  The fires are so bad.  we mainly will be cleaning the house since I have hardly any time to do that.  I start back up to work in three weeks which is going to be tough.  Hope everyone is well.

Trip to Lake Tahoe!

We had a wonderful weekend in Lake Tahoe visiting Grandma Linda! Parker took his first boat ride on the lake, went to Garwood's and the Lone Eagle Grill, both restaurants he slept through the entire meal so Mom and Dad could enjoy eating and a glass of wine or two. I was lucky enough to sleep in one morning while Grandma Linda fed Parker. He traveled pretty well in the car on the long trip. We only had to stop twice to change a diaper and let him stretch out from the car ride. Hope everyone is doing well!

Excited to see Grandma on Friday night! It was way past his bedtime, but he wanted to show off for her!

All ready for the boat ride!

Looking good!

Grandma Linda on the boat!

Us on the boat. We were so happy to be out of the smoky air in Redding, enjoying the sun!

Playing on the boat!

Always hungry!

Love my little man!
Tired after a long day of boating. He slept through the entire dinner just like this!

Needs a cabana after a hard Saturday night!

Visit from Aunt Andrea

Budge, Parker and I were so excited when Andrea came to visit from LA last week. She was a huge help with the little guy and we had a great time just hanging out like old times. Can't wait for all of us to see her again soon. Ree congrats on your teaching job for the fall. You are going to be an amazing teacher!

Andrea and Parker after a walk on the river trail!

We played with the camera while she was in town and got some great photos. Notice the shirt. Going to be a fisherman just like his Dad.

Caught in the act of spit up. Great shot, Andrea.

I love my little guy!

San Francisco here we come!

We had a great weekend visiting family and friends in the Bay Area. Parker did great in the car ride down, and loved seeing the Golden Gate Bridge. Ryan and I were able to get a "date night" and see The Police in concert while Parker stayed with Grandma and Grandpa.

Starting to hold his own bottle!

Parker had so much fun meeting Melissa. See you at the end of the month!

Parker loves Uncle Tim!
Hanging out in Sausalito after a sleepover at Grandma Mady's.

Got beer? Thanks for a great dinner, Alex and Cristan!

Sounds of a baby!

First Bath Time

Parker has just recently been making those cooing sounds that all babies do. He has a bit of heat rash on his face but that should be expected as it is about 115 degrees here in Redding today. We have not ventured out much due to the heat and smoky air. He took his first nap in his crib today. I am trying to get him used to the crib and his room to make the transition easier before I go back to work. I also put some pictures of his first baths in the bathroom sink on this post.

Father's Day

Parker with Grandma Pam and Grandpa Brent
All four generations! Pretty amazing!
Kim and Grandpa Bill. Great brunch Kim. Everyone enjoyed it!
First Father's Day for Ryan! He makes a great dad!
For some reason this post did not make it for Father's Day. It was really neat because we were able to have all four generations of my family make it to Redding and meet Parker. Here are some pictures alittle late. Better late than never. Hope all is well with everyone.

First Fourth of July

I hope all of you had a great fourth of July. For Parker's first fourth of July celebration we headed back up to the lake. We made a long weekend out of it and were so excited to have our friends Tim, Tania, Brent and Kristen join us. I am truly amazed at how much stuff you end up packing for a baby. I thought I was taking his whole room. Parker slept through his first fireworks. He did not flinch a bit. Enjoy!
