Tree Cutting!

We went tree cutting with Holly and Kyle and Natalie and Tyler this year. It always is an adventure to find the perfect Christmas tree. After searching high and low, we found one. Parker enjoyed the trip. Thanks Aunt Kim for looking after me while mom and dad cut the tree down.

Our Thanksgiving in NC!

Our first trip on a plane with Parker was to North Carolina to visit my mom's side of the family. Parker did amazing on all the flights. I was so relieved since I feared that he would cry the whole way. We arrived in Raleigh on Monday night. Drove about an hour to my aunt's farm. They just built a new home which was absolutely beautiful. Dinner was waiting for us when we walked in. My Aunt Connie is an amazing cook. In fact the whole time we were there I felt like all I did was eat and drink which I guess that is what the Thanksgiving holiday is all about. We picked up my grandma on Tuesday morning. We had such a great trip. Thanks Aunt Connie and Uncle Don for having us stay and making Parker's first Thanksgiving a great one!

Picking up grandma in Cary, N.C. First time Parker met his great grandma Lee!

Hanging out with Great Grandma!

Parker liked looking at the swans swimming in the pond at the farm!

Hanging out on the patio overlooking the pond.

On Wednesday, we went for a drive to Fearrington, N.C. There was a town square to walk around in and these interesting cows called Beltkies. They have a white stripe around their bellies.

Better picture of the cow.

The town square.

After Fearrington, we headed back home when we stumbled upon a winery. This is the new thing in N.C. So we went to check it out! The sign cracked me up.

Inside the winery. Looks like Parker is very interested.

Must take after his mom. He always wanted the glass of wine!

Thanks Great Aunt Connie for the great toys!
Such a long day with a little nap made Parker pass out in his play toy. Pretty funny!

And now for Thanksgiving Day!

The four generations!

No matter where we go fishing is still a priority.

The tables were beautiful!

Parker has three second cousins that entertained him the whole day! Here he is with Ian who told Budge that Parker was definitely his kid because of the cheeks. You have to love seven year olds.

Enjoying the sun with grandma and great grandma!
Eating his peas. Next year, the turkey and all the fixings.

The whole family!

Watching Sponge Bob with second cousin Owen.

I love flying when is our next trip!

I'm A Little Turkey!

I picked up Parker from daycare yesterday to find him as a little turkey. They made him a headband with feathers on it. Way too cute. Sorry the outfit does not match very well. We are going to have photos taken today and hopefully will be able to add some cute photos later. Our flight leaves early Monday morning for North Carolina. I will try and blog from there but if not we hope everyone has a very Happy Thanksgiving. We feel so fortunate to have such wonderful families and friends! Gobble! Gobble!

Couldn't resist this cute outfit!

Sitting Up!

So as of Friday Parker can sit up more or less on his own. It is amazing how much he is growing and changes each day. My sister and Ryan came up to visit this weekend. We enjoyed having them around. We went for a walk on the River Trail and had a great BBQ last night. Thanks Budge for making a delicious meal, We also took Parker on his first bike ride today. The weather is absolutely gorgeous. 80 degrees. Hard to believe that it is the middle of November. Off to North Carolina in a week for Thanksgiving. Hopefully Parker handles the flight well. Have a good week!

Congrats Tim and Tania!

Thanks Grandma Mady for coming to visit me while Dad was gone! I know mom had fun watching the election results with you!

I apologize for not writing in awhile. Things have been hectic for the past week! Our dear friends Tim and Tania got married in Mexico this past Saturday. Budge and Chris headed down Sunday night for a little fishing before the wedding. Here are some pictures of the fish they caught!

I took the red eye Thursday night and arrived in Cancun Friday late morning. I then took a ferry over to an island off of Cancun called Isla Mujeres. It was a ton of travel but well worth it. The wedding was absolutely amazing and it is always great to see old college buddies. Budge was the best man and gave an incredible speech. As for Parker, it was hard for me to leave the little man, but he had an amazing time with Grandma Linda and Aunt Kim. Who knows what my cell phone bill is going to be. They took him on a ton of walks, over to the museum and basically spoiled him the whole time. We thank you both so much for taking care of him. Tim and Tania we know you are going to have a wonderful life together and hopefully there will be little Timmay's to play with Parker soon! We love you both!
