Crawling on His Knees

Budge headed out fishing this afternoon and I got a great video of Parker crawling on his knees. Yes you read correctly he is no longer dragging one of his legs, he is up on his knees. Planning to do report cards and get some more boxes packed up this weekend. We accepted an offer on our house but nothing is final yet. Just keep your fingers crossed. Have a great weekend! I can hardly believe that he will be a year old in less than two weeks.

Being crazy!
For some reason he loves playing with this necklace of mine.

Memorial Day Weekend

For the three day weekend, we headed down to SF to visit my Dad and stepmom. We left right after school and arrived to an amazing homecooked meal. Parker loved throwing the ball the to the dog along with showing off his new crawling skills. He can move now. Budge and I left P with my parents on Saturday for our date day/night which we have not had since P has been born. The weather was not that great in SF, but we still had a great time. Tim and Tania met up with us to go to the California Academy of Sciences muesum which I have not been to since I was a kid. Then Budge and I had a wonderful dinner in this little alley was called Belden Place. Felt like we were back in Europe. On Sunday, we headed back to my parents and took P to the farm. We ended up going back up to Tim and Tania's to spend the night which is always a great time. On Monday morning we had to come back to Redding and get ready for the week ahead. Only 11 days left but who is counting. Have a wonderful day!

Summer is almost here!!!

This weekend the temperature was over 100 and we decided to head to Lake Almanor to stay somewhat cooler. Our weekend started on Friday morning with the annual Rodeo pancake breakfast in the street. For some strange reason I have been to this event every year since I have lived in Redding. It is pretty crazy how they close down the street and people line up at 5 a.m. for pancakes. Anyways we had to take Parker and he loved it. After he was finished eating he just got to be the center of attention on the table.

Budge picked me up after school and we headed out for the lake. It was beautiful when we got there. On Satruday we thought we were going to go on a hike to find out the road was still snowed in. So we headed down the mountain and hiked out to the like to the mouth of some river to see if there was any good fishing. I am beginning to think that I need to take up fishing. Then we went back to the house and took Parker on an 18 mile bike ride. He had a great time. Today we headed home and I blew up this frog pool for him to play in since it was so hot. Hope everyone has a great week. Next weekend Budge's birthday, San Francisco and a three day weekend! So exciting!!!

I am ready to go!

Budge trying to figure out where we are going.
Having a blast!
Beautiful walk with Mount Lassen in the background!

Parker and I

We let Parker take a break in the water during the bike ride. He is definitely going to be a water baby!

We stopped along the way back at a restaurant. We were all filthy including Parker so I decided to spike his hair.
Loving the water!

First Mother's Day

Sunday was a great day. I went for a run with Parker and just enjoyed the beautiful weather. We took him to the farm and had a homemade pasta dinner thanks to Ryan and Chris. My first Mother's Day was a memorable one. Here are the pictures. Have a great week. Only 22 days left for me until summer and I cannot wait.

Tried to get him in the flowers but he just wanted to play!

Another great scrunched face smile.

Happy May!

Sorry it has been awhile since I have updated the blog. Last weekend I headed down to LA for Andrea's baby shower. It was so fun to see her and cannot wait to meet her little girl. Who knows she could be born on Parker's birthday!!! While I was away, it was one rainy weekend for Budge and Parker. For all of you have children you know it can be tough to keep a child's attention on a rainy day. They went over to the Shasta College farm and saw the farm animals. Here are some pictures from that.

Currently he likes to smile when the camera light turns on.

Hanging out with dad!

Getting ready to hike up to Brandy Creek Falls!

At the lower falls!

Eating lunch on the trail!
