Lazy Days!

Well, history was made this week with the inauguration of Obama. I had to get the paper to keep the news story for Parker's baby book. Aside from that, Parker finally cut three of the four teeth on the top and I think the last one will pop through sometime this week. We have been trying to get him to crawl. He is pretty good at lifting himself and he is beginning to move his legs around, but not yet crawling. He continues to babble all the time and I am so excited that he has started to say "mom" or "mama" even though he does not know yet that I am mom. He has such a belly laugh now and still continues to make us the happiest parents around. Wishing everyone an awesome last week of January!

In his new bathtub. Thanks Grandma Linda!
Lifting himself up.

Trying to get those legs going.

Then a partial roll over.

New chair Grandma Mady got him.

He loves playing with our iPhones. Budge just gives him the case to play with.

Basically, this morning Parker just vegged out in my lap with his blanket. He is so cuddly and I love it.

Another Gorgeous Weekend!

We had a great weekend down in the Bay Area. Thanks Tim and Tania for letting us crash at your place on Friday night. We all loved hanging out with you guys. On Saturday we did alittle shopping and then headed to Muir Beach for an afternoon of sun and fun! Parker enjoyed playing in the sand luckily he did not put it into his mouth. Everything these days goes into his mouth. The boys played Ultimate Frisbee and we watched. That night we went to Alex and Cristan's house to watch a slide show of their amazing trek in Nepal. You guys did an awesome job and we can't wait to see you again soon. Thanks Grandma Mady for watching Parker. Today Parker and I along with Holly and Bryn walked the river trail. Hope everyone has a great week!

AAAGGGHHH!

Cat in the Hat was visiting Pottery Barn while we were shopping!

Ready for the beach!

About ready to put hands in the sand!

Playing with Brent's beard!

Loving this weather!

I feel bad for all of those who live in the Midwest and East Coast. While you are getting bombarded with snow, we are enjoying 70 degree weather out here in California. It feels more like spring than winter. Well, I made through my first week back at work. Parker missed daycare and it was nice to get back into the routine. We had a great weekend. On Friday, we invited Holly, Kyle and Bryn over dinner and a game. Great job Kyle on Scrabble! Saturday we went jogging on the trails and had Uncle Chris over for movie night and today we went on a walk with Grandma Linda and Frank, out to breakfast and a bike ride. Wishing everyone a wonderful week ahead. Looking forward to heading down to the Bay Area next weekend.
Update on Parker...he is now seven months old, he has broken through one tooth on the top and the other are almost there and even though he wants nothing to do with being on his stomach right now, I think crawling will happen soon. He is still a happy little guy and Budge and I love each and everyday with him.

Picture from last weekend when we had to get some yard work done. He sat in the stroller and watched us work.

In his crib.

Sitting in the sink watching us make breakfast.

I go into the study to see Parker and Budge playing with the mini post its.

You get him Parker!

Another ride in the neighborhood.

It's back to work I go!

It has been a wonderful 2 weeks off being a mom to Parker and having time to just enjoy him. Tomorrow it is back to the grind. I am just hoping Parker sleeps through the night and that the kiddos are good at school. Here are some latest pictures from our weekend. It is pretty cold but we managed to go on a family bike ride. Budge and I are enjoying the Wii Fit. Hope all of you are doing well.

Gettin ready for Collin and Kelly to come over with Olivia on Friday night.

Olivia, 10 months, is on the move and Parker just sits and watches her.

Collin with both kids. We enjoyed having dinner with you guys. Game night soon!

Bike riding on the river trail.

Taking a nap!

You have to love that smile!! I am going to miss hanging out with him all the time!

Happy New Year to All!!

What a difference celebrating the new year is with a baby. We were invited to a New York New Year's Eve party with a bunch of couples that have kids. We rung in the New Year at 9 o'clock instead of midnight. Parker had so much fun with the one year old that was there along with watching all the new babies including our friends who just adopted. Baby Bryn is adorable and doing well. She is tiny. It is hard to believe that Parker was once small.
Time is flying by. In a couple of days Parker will be 7 months old already. He continues to babble and make grunting sounds, grabs for everything, eats pretty much anything, watches everything including the TV, and in general is still a happy baby. We are wanting those top two teeth to come through to help out with sleeping through the night again.
As for new year resolutions, make most of each day with our family, continue to try and lose those baby pounds and remember it is not about what you have, but rather who you have in your life that makes the difference. I truly hope that 2009 is a great year for all our friends and family!

Holly and Kyle with Bryn, the best present this holiday season!

Parker hanging out with Cooper.

Doesn't want to put on his pj's.

Loves to sit in his own chair and can be very serious when he wants to.
