Bath Time Once Again!

I feel like the days go by so quickly. By the time we get home from work, it really is eat dinner and go to bed. Parker has recently taken some bathing shots. We are headed to the Bay Area this weekend and will post some more photos. Enjoy!

Wondering why we are always taking pictures of him!

So he sticks out his tongue.

Wrapping him up to get ready for bed.

Loves looking up.

What a Balancing Act!

So I made it through my first week of being a mom and being a teacher, although I often feel like I am a mom to 20 crazy first graders. Parker continues to grow each day and makes tons of noises. His smiles are getting more frequent and he seems to be a happy baby boy in daycare. I check on him at lunch and right after I drop my class kids off at the buses.

Thanks Josh for the outfits!

Just taking a snooze after the long week!

Summer has come to an end!

It is amazing how fast two months flies with a new baby on board. Today is my first full day back at work and Parker's first full day of baby daycare with me at school. I am feeling alittle anxious but know that he is in good hands. Redding is supposed to have a heat wave coming through. I think the expected highs are around 110 for today. Crazy. I will let you know how today goes later. Hope everything is going well!

What a weekend!

On Friday, we went to visit Parker's great-grandparents. They were so excited to have us all over for lunch and were amazed at how big he has gotten. That night we went to a beautiful wedding in El Dorado Hills which is near Sacramento. We brought Parker's vibrating chair to the reception and he was content pretty much the whole time. Of course, he started to cry right as the bride was walking down the aisle, so I took him for alittle walk. How embarassing! Oh well, that is what babies do.

On Saturday, we headed up to the lake house for a birthday celebration. He was once again a great baby, but as far as sleeping went he was up every hour on the hour. I was ready to come back to his crib and try for sleeping another 5 hours at a time.

Today, we went for Parker's two month doctor's appointment. Here is where he is currently:
Weight: 15 pounds 8 oz. 90th percentile
Height: 24 1/2 inches 95th percentile
He had three shots and cried only for a few minutes. He is doing very well and hope all of you are too!

Two Exciting Things to Report

The first piece of news is that last night was the first night Parker slept from 10 to 4.  Both Budge and I woke up at the normal 2 in the morning to find our baby sleeping away.  Of course, it was hard to fall back asleep thinking he would wake up any moment.  Hopefully, this continues to be the trend as work starts back up for me next week.  He will have his first day of day care a week from today.  It makes me sad to think about, but I know he will be in good hands and only two portables away.  The next piece of news is that my sister is engaged.  Ryan proposed to her on the beach in Hawaii.  We are all so excited for her.  Headed to a wedding in Sacramento and to see the great grandparents tomorrow night and up to the lake house for a birthday party on Saturday.  More pictures to come.  Hope everyone is enjoying their day!

A Visit from Ashley

We had another great weekend in the Bay Area this weekend. The only difference was that Budge was not with us. He was having a great time in Oregon for Tim's bachelor party. Parker was such a trooper in the car ride down, shopping at Stanford all afternoon and hanging out with the girls. Ashley came out to visit from Texas and I was so excited to see her. Parker was equally excited to meet her. We had a great time and thanks again Ash for coming to visit.

Ashley and I with Parker. He loved meeting you Ashley and thanks for coming all this way to visit us.

Grandma Mady, Parker already misses you!

Melissa, thanks for letting us crash at your house. We had a wonderful time visiting! See you soon!
Parker continues to make tons of noise and is following objects. He is holding his head up on his own. Next week he goes in for his first set of shots. I will give you an update after the appointment. I can't believe he is two months old. Time does fly!
