Doctor's Appointment

Parker had his two week check up this week. He has gained almost a pound (now 9 lbs, 14 oz.) and grew an inch and a quarter (now 21 1/4 inches). The doctor said he is doing very well and she will not have to see him until he is 2 months old. Each day he is getting more and more alert. He is trying to focus on objects and is a constantly moving his arms and legs. We are lucky if he sleeps for four hours a night, or at least I am lucky to get a few more minutes of sleep. Ryan and I went out last night for a Rotary function and Parker had his first babysitting experience with Grandma Linda and Aunt Kim. They said he did great! Here are some more photos.
He has found his thumb to suck on.

He loves this chair especially in the morning!

Our First Trip to Lake Almanor

Tomorrow Parker will be two weeks old. We are still sleep deprived but are gradually getting on a schedule. He is a great baby and also fun to have around. I was going stir crazy in our house for the past couple of weeks so Budge and I decided to head to Lake Almanor, an hour and half drive from Redding, to hang out with Grandpa Bill and Aunt Kim for Saturday night. Parker experience his first thunderstorm and hike in Lassen National Park. Enjoy the photos!
On our way down from the lake. Still sleeping!

He did not like the Baby Bjorn once we got to the lake.

After his sponge bath, loves to cuddle in the towel!

Such a cutie!

Right before his first thunderstorm! Lassen in the background.

The First Week

Well, we made it through the first week. Lack of sleep and trying to figure out this motherhood thing can be tough, but he is worth every minute of it. Thanks to all our family and friends for helping us out! We cannot thank you enough! Here are some pictures of Parker. Hope you enjoy!

Brent you look like you are made for fatherhood. The first one of the "friend" uncles Parker met.

Taking a snooze!

He loves his hands all over his face.

Aunt Chelsea came to visit. He can't wait to see you again!

Collin, Kelly and Olivia came by to say hi! Thanks for the yummy spaghetti dinner. Parker is looking forward to his first play date.

Welcome to the world Parker Budge Haedrich

It all started with my water breaking at the doctor's office on Monday, June 9th at around 12:30. I had to drive myself straight over to the hospital not knowing whether or not I would go into labor today or tomorrow.

Thank goodness I decided to take a shower that morning. I got all checked into the hospital and was able to get into one of those very fashionable hospital gowns and eat the yummy popsicles. Orange was my favorite.

Budge arrived with our bags. This was his chair. Little did he know that he would be spending two nights in the uncomfortable hospital chairs. I couldn't have done this without him. He is an amazing husband!

This picture pretty much sums up that I was beginning to have a lot of pain. Enough of that! Here comes our baby boy...

A 9 pound baby boy, Parker Budge Haedrich. The doctor was even impressed that he was that big and so was I.
